Ronald E. Poe is an Attorney at Law and Owner and President of The Poe Firm, P.C. in Germantown, TN. Mr. Poe has focused most of his twenty-nine (29) year practice in the field of Real Estate Law, Residential and Commercial. Mr. Poe is also a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediator and concentrates his mediation and arbitration efforts in the area of Real Estate. Mr. Poe has spent countless hours representing clients in dispute resolution regarding all facets of real estate matters. Mr. Poe has participated in many hours of mediation training including attending courses as The Next Step: A Workshop for Experienced Mediators (Memphis Bar Association); The Ethics of Mediator Testimony (Lawyers Learn, Inc.); and 40-Hour Immersion: Rule 31 General Civil Mediation Immersion Training (The Mediation Institute).
Mr. Poe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, Master of Business Administration Degree and a Degree of Juris Doctor from The University of Memphis. Prior to entering the field of law, he was actively involved in the Real Estate industry as both an Affiliate Broker and Principal Broker. Mr. Poe is a member of the Memphis Bar Association, including the section of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Tennessee Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Poe is an Instructor for Real Estate Education Courses for Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR), the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) and Continuing Education Seminars for credit as approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission (TREC). He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Finance, Insurance and Real Estate, Fogelman College of Business at the University of Memphis, teaching Real Estate Law.
Mr. Poe was most recently named “Educator of the Year 2008”, by the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR), this prestigious award given for his dedication and desire to create and provide top-notch educational programming. He has promoted and advanced real estate research projects and resources available to Realtor professionals. For the past six (6) years, he has been serving as Special Liaison for the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) Residential Forms Committee. Mr. Poe was named “Affiliate of the Year” for Memphis Area Association of Realtors (MAAR) in 1988 and 2006.
